About Department of Science Communication

To bring together mathematics and science education researchers, the Department of Science Communication was established in August 2014. This is the first department named “Science Communication” in Taiwan. The main objective of the department is to develop and combine the education of mathematics and science research with public science in the area of Science Communication and to help facilitate student learning. The students’ creative works could provide people with correct and comprehensive knowledge of new mathematic and scientific ideas using different media. It would give people access to mathematics, science and technology in their life. Further, our department will cooperate with National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium and National Science and Technology Museum to develop marine education and the related study of informal education. This will establish cooperation and a channel to offer students opportunities of practical training in their future career.
